Born in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Jake is a graduate of Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts where he earned a BFA. His thesis film, Pigskin (2016), won 15 awards in its festival run including Best Student Film at ScreamFest 2016, and also screened at Palm Springs ShortFest, New Orleans Film Festival, FLICKERS Rhode Island, Atlanta Film Fest, and festivals internationally. Pigskin has been shared on several sites such as ALTER, NoBudge, and Screamfest’s YouTube channel. More recently, he directed for CryptTV.
A diehard fan of horror films, Jake incorporates his favorite genre elements into his work from a LGBTQ perspective. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
